It’s unanimous: you can’t teach around ill-fitting clubs. PGA teachers who have achieved distinction in their field, usually have a fitting center as part of their school. Traditionally, it was your domain to build, fit and sell golf clubs … but that domain slipped away over the years and frankly its time to take it back. This program is to reach out to all PGA members … requesting that you learn clubfitting skills, or at the very least partner with a professional fitter. With custom fitted clubs, your students will improve their game, your reputation will be enhanced as a teacher and if everyone joined the movement, the game should grow. This course is a glimpse into the world of clubfitting, including the difference between a bonafide professional clubfitting and what is generally offered to the public as a clubfitting. How You Will Benefit • Become a better teacher and build your reputation with students who play fitted clubs • Learn the skills needed to open a performance center • Partner with a professional fitter who will enhance your business • Learn about additional revenue streams What Topics You Will You Cover • Overview of a professional clubfitting. • Club head and shaft design characteristics. • Why it is important to bring equipment back to PGA Professionals • Added revenue streams Who Should Attend • Teaching Professionals, PGA Apprentices, Directors of Golf, Golf Operation Owners, Retailers Speaker: Steve Benzin - Vice President, IPAC Matt Christian - Owner, Elite Golf Performance Josh Musselman, PGA - Owner, Josh Musselman's Golf Express |
